It’s a dream place to be— the owners have filled it with beautiful extras that make a visit perfect. Super clean, the best position for the village /pub and excellent eateries.

The Nest is a charming little bolt-hole perfect for couples. It is finished to a very high spec and has all the little extras you need for an extremely comfortable stay. The bed is particularly AMAZING! Situated perfectly for lazy days exploring the beautiful mediaeval village of Cartmel and one of its many pubs/restaurants or if you’re feeling a bit more energetic and fancy a hike the Lakes are only a short car journey away. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!

It had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen and a great sized living room. both showers were really hot and powerful! great having two bathrooms when there's 4 of you staying in one place. the bedrooms are a good size and the beds themselves are really comfortable and I slept well. A wonderful place to stay. No faults.

Maggie Puddle Cottage was clean and tidy. It is full of character as hoped for when staying in a old country cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. We had a relaxing stay visiting the local coast and village of Cartmel. Would come again.

The family spent a fabulous weekend away in this beautifully cosy cottage. Adrian and Kate's instructions for finding the cottage were spot on and they were very quick to reply to messages when we had any questions. Arriving late at night we stepped into a gorgeous, spacious cottage full of quirky original features as well as two clean, modern bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen, and immediately felt at home. Lovely little touches like a welcome basket of goodies and clean towels and bathrobes made us all feel very welcome. It's a great space to just hang out, cook a meal, play boardgames and socialise. Warm, cosy and relaxed. A little gem.

Thank you for a lovely stay! It was just as described and the perfect spot to explore Cartmel from. It is literally a five minute walk from the village and we enjoyed all of the foodie spots that Cartmel has to offer (and was one of the main reasons for us going). The bathroom was spotless and spacious. Beds deserve a special mention- they were so comfortable! We also loved having a welcome hamper and essentials for when we arrived. Would absolutely return, thanks for such a welcome break
